How the OSU Data Analytics Bootcamp Works

The OSU Data Analytics Bootcamp is designed for students to pursue high-quality tech education while continuing to balance work or other commitments. Our program provides you with the flexibility to fit career development into your life.

  • All bootcamp classes are instructor-led and taught 100% online.

  • Full-time and part-time bootcamp programs are available.

  • All classes are held on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday.

    • 4:30pm-7:30pm PT
  • Classes are held Monday-Friday.

    • 7:00am-2:00pm PT

In addition to classroom lessons, part-time students can anticipate spending 6-8 hours studying and working on outside assignments each week.

Tuition and Payment Options

  • The data analytics curriculum is broken down into four main areas: 1. Excel; 2. Presentations; 3. SQL; and 4. Python. From there, students work on learning the skills they need to pass two industry certifications (Tableau Desktop Specialist and AWS Certified Data Analytics - Specialty) and finish the program with a culminating project. Grads of the Oregon State University Data Analytics Bootcamp learn the skills they need to be qualified for entry-level roles like Data Analyst and Insights Analyst.

  • Yes, the Oregon State University Data Analytics Bootcamp is beginner-friendly. It’s specifically designed for professionals who have no previous experience in data analytics. While some background knowledge is helpful, the only expectation is that students have general computer literacy skills in basics like efficiently using the internet/cloud and Windows.

  • Your time with our career success team will include everything from workshops to one-on-one office hours to phone chats before big interviews. And on top of all that, the team will be working behind the scenes to find openings that are right for you and staying up-to-date on the latest recruiting trends to make sure they prepare you for everything.

  • With more than 104,000 job postings in the U.S. in the last year and a 12.3% projected 10-year growth rate, now is an exciting time to launch a fulfilling career in Data Analytics. Our program will help you learn the in-demand skills you need to succeed in the field and start working in as few as 10 weeks.

  • To be eligible for the program, you must be at least 18 years old and a high school grad/GED holder by the start date of your intended cohort.

  • Complete the application, take the assessment (30 minutes), and receive a decision. At any point in the process, you can also schedule a time to speak with one of our Student Advisors who can walk you through the process and answer your questions.

  • Part-time students often continue working full-time while completing the bootcamp. Each week, students can expect to spend 9 hours in class and another 6-8 hours of studying and assignments outside of class.

    Full-time students do not continue working due to the immersive nature of the Oregon State University Data Analytics Bootcamp. By focusing solely on their training, they’re set up to thrive in the expedited 12-week training.
